Addictions & Drug Abuse
Struggles with addiction are not commonly reported among seniors. However, we acknowledge the often-silent struggle that exists behind closed doors. It is necessary that we pay attention and do all that we can to support.
Age concern does not actively provide case work support. However, there are local agencies that specialize in supporting mental health and addiction-related concerns. If you need immediate emergency support, please contact the police (911) to conduct a wellness check.
If a senior is in imminent danger to themselves or others contact Mid-Atlantic Wellness Insitute acute unit.
