Care Homes & Day Programmes

Determining the best care options can be an exhausting task but it doesn’t need to be.

Here are a few useful resources to get you started:  

1. The Ministry of Health and Seniors in collaboration with Aging and Disability Services (ADS) have developed a residential care homes listing. You can find the most updated version of the full listing here (scroll down) or call 292-7802 to request the information. Using this resource will help to identify cost for care home placement or seniors' day programme utilization. Homes that offer day programmes should be easy to identify from this list.  

2. Bermuda Health Council is also a great resource to use when determining the best care home or seniors' day programme options. All local residential care homes for adults must be registered by the Bermuda Health Council. 

3. Additional Day programmes not associated with a residential care home include, but may not be limited to, the following:  

1. Local church organizations conduct various activities and programming for seniors. Get in touch with a church close to you to determine if the programming offered is a good fit for you. 

2. Lifelong Learning Centre at Bermuda College. They run dynamic programs for seniors through the year at a fee. All upcoming schedules and program listings can be found on their website here. You can also call 239-4029 for more information. 

3. Windreach is a campus that serves a wide range of folk with strong consideration for accessibility and disability-inclusion. They have an active senior's day programme centre located on the premises. (tel: 238-2469 extension 210) 

4. Dementia Bermuda is a charity that actively provides day programmes for seniors living with dementia. (tel: 707-0600) 

5. Compassionate Care Partners for Individuals with Life Limiting Illness (tel: 232-0859)
