Although, Age Concern no longer provides legal advice services, ACB members are eligible to receive a discount on legal services specifically related to wills and power of attorney through MJM Barristers & Attorneys (292-1345). Chancery Legal Ltd (295-3885) also provide a free 20-min consultation to ACB members on any legal matter.

For individuals experiencing financial constraints, cost-reducing legal support options may be available by utilizing the following services:

  • Free Legal Advice Clinic

The Bermuda Bar Association offers a free legal advice clinic to assist members of the public with obtaining free legal advice. This collaboration has been going on for many years. All Barristers & Attorneys listed on the roster have been issued licenses to practice law in this jurisdiction. During COVID they began offering this service over the phone. Seniors may still utilize the service as members of the legal fraternity will continue to answer the call and provide 15 minutes of Free Legal Advice over the phone. Should a senior wish to speak with a licensed lawyer, please email bdabar@logic.bm and provide a brief overview of the nature of your legal question along with your name and telephone number. If there are other parties involved, please provide the name along with the name of their lawyer or law firm (for conflict purposes). Alternatively, you may call the Bar Office at 295-4540 to provide these details over the phone.
