Establishing routines and engaging in social networking activities is extremely important for emotional health and wellbeing as we age. There are many ways to get involved and connect with peers.
Aging & Disability Services have provided an active list of senior's clubs across the island.
Leroy Wilson has introduced a walking football league for seniors over 55 at Bermuda college on Fridays. Click here to read more about this initiative in the Royal Gazette. You can also contact the Lifelong Learning Centre at Bermuda College to register or learn more (tel: 239-4029).

Local church organizations conduct various activities and programming for seniors. Get in touch with a church close to you to determine if the programming offered is a good fit for you.
Dementia Bermuda is a charity that actively provides day programmes for seniors living with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias. (tel: 707-0600)
Windreach is a campus that serves a wide range of folk with strong consideration for accessibility and disability-inclusion. They have an active senior's day programme centre located on the premises. (tel: 238-2469 extension 210)
Compassionate Care Partners Connections programme for individuals with a life limiting illness happens weekly on Mondays. It is completely free, inclusive of meals, and requires registration. (tel: 232-0859 or email: development@hospice.bm)
Many care homes in Bermuda also offer thriving day programmes for older adults. You can find the most updated version of the full listing here (scroll down) or call 292-7802 to request the information. Using this resource will help to identify cost for care home placement or seniors' day programme utilization. Homes that offer day programmes should be easy to identify from this list.
Grace Rejuvenation Centre also offers day programme support to older adults with and without dementia. They can be contacted at 543-0033 or 524-7664 or you can visit their website here.
At ACB we have a volunteer programme with a focus on seniors helping seniors. The majority of whom are retirees. This is a popular engagement opportunity, and we are always looking for more volunteers. Not only do the volunteers have the opportunity to make an impact on others, but they also are impacted by way of healthy socialization, training, and having the opportunity to be a part of impactful change.
